Luxembourg, 08/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - EUROPE has reason to believe that the President of the European Court of justice, Gil Carlos Rodriguez Iglesias, has announced that he would not be seeking the renewal of his mandate.
Rodriguez Iglesias would thus leave the Court of justice on 6 October 2003, having spent seventeen years at the Court, nine of which as President (he was the first Spanish judge at the Court in 1986, when Spain joined the EC).
