06/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - Gretta Duisenberg, wife of Wim Duisenberg, President of the European Central Bank (ECB), started a trip to the Middle East on Sunday to support the Palestinians and meet Yasser Arafat. Gretta Duisenberg's support for the Palestinian cause is well known. Wim Duisenberg refuses to comment on his wife's views and political initiatives. The ECB notes that this is a private matter.
