06/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - An official from the Chinese External Trade Ministry told the China Daily, cited by AFP in Beijing, that, if European Union enlargement were to have a negative effect on China's trade with the Union, then China would call upon the EU to offset its losses in conformity with the rules of the World Trade Organisation.
