06/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - Presidential elections will be held in Cyprus on 16 February 2003 (a second round may prove necessary). Greece has welcomed Tayyip Erdogan's recent statements on Cyprus, saying they create the preconditions for settling the Cyprus issue by 28 February (see Europe of 4 January, p.2).
