Joint venture between Brenntag and Biesterfeld is cleared

Brussels, 06/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised a joint venture between two previously independent German chemical distributors, Brenntag AG and Wilhelm E.H. Biesterfeld GmbH. The transaction will lead to an increase in market shares in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Denmark and Austria, being most marked in Germany but only negligible in the other countries.
