First meeting of Administrative Board of European Maritime Safety Agency - Priorities for 2003

Brussels, 06/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - The first meeting of the Administrative Board of the Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) was held in Brussels on 4 December. EMSA, whose budget is 4.5 million euro for 2003, will have as task (1) to collect information and operate databases on maritime security, (2) assess and audit shipping classification companies, (3) organise inspections in Member States to check the conditions of the Port State (it could also assist national inspectors in their tasks of...
