Sector business leaders appeal for "light" regulatory framework on eve of Council

Brussels, 04/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - In the run-up to Thursday's Telecoms Council (see EUROPE yesterday p 16), the European Telecommunications Networks Operators (ETNO), which represents 40 major companies in the sector, reaffirmed in a conference on 3 December, their support for the e-Europe programme 2005 as one of the main priorities included in the Lisbon objectives that they were aiming to attain.
