Noting the lack of progress of negotiations on savings taxation with Switzerland, the Council will study decisions on 3 December

Brussels, 05/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Ecofin Council noted that there have been no developments in the negotiations with Switzerland in terms of this country adopting measures on taxation savings equivalent to those that should be adopted by the Fifteen at the end of the year. The Council will return to this mater at its sitting on 3 December, in the light of two negotiating sessions expected to take place in November. Only then will it consider decisions.
