Sven-Olof Petersson is new Head of Permanent Representation

Brussels, 04/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - Sven-Olof Petersson is the new Head of the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the European Union in Brussels. He succeeds Gunnar Lund.

Born in 1947, Mr Petersson was Director General for Political Affairs at the Foreign Ministry. Since Sweden's accession to the EU, he has been responsible for European issues in various posts. From 1989 to 1995, he was Minister and Deputy Head at the Embassy of Sweden in Washington.
