Brussels, 24/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Party of European Socialists, headed by Robin Cook, the Socialist Group of the European Parliament, led by Enrique Baron and the Danish Social-Democrat Party, led by former Prime Minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen are organising a conference in Copenhagen on 10 October on "Social-Democracy in a globalised world". Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, PES rapporteur on globalisation, will open the debate, followed by Glenys Kinnock, Vice-President of the ACP/EU Assembly, and, in particular, officials from Oxfam, Jeremy Hobbs, WWF, Tony Long, Medecins du Monde, Claude Moncorge. Among the other participants, we find the Swedish representative to the UN, Pierre Schori, the Vice-President of ATTAC, Susan George, the Executive Director of the ILO, Kari Tapiola and Unice Secretary General Philippe de Buck.
