EUR 150 million loan to improve energy network in Tunisia

Luxembourg, 08/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank has just awarded a loan of EUR 150 million to finance a priority tranche (2002-2004) of the programme for strengthening and improving the management of the electricity transport network in Tunisia. Funds have been granted to the Société Tunisienne de l'Electricité de du Gaz (STEG) to invest in 70 sub-projects spread all over Tunisia.
