The Italian FIAT group is going to invest 3 billion Reales (USD 1 billion ) up to 2006 in Brazil. The group sold 176,250 vehicles to Brazil during the first quarter of the year and invested 500 million Reales in a factory in Betim (in the state of Minas Gerais).
