Reasoned opinion against France and Luxembourg on transport of dangerous products

Brussels, 27/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the Commission sent a reasoned opinion to France and Luxembourg (last stage before formal action is taken at the Court of Justice) for having infringed the legislation on safety inspections in the road transport of dangerous products. The legislation, which provides for uniform procedures to be applied during road checks, was to be adopted by Member States on 23 December 2001.
