Reasoned opinion against Germany for maritime cabotage

Brussels, 27/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the Commission sent a reasoned opinion to Germany (last stage before formal referral to the Court of Justice) because of the restrictions imposed on the free provision of maritime transport services. The Commission considers that the conditions for granting several public service contracts to maritime operators (without transparency, for a duration of fifteen years and automatically renewable) are contrary to the regulations on maritime...
