Mendez de Vigo is not signatory to Wuermeling proposal on responsibilities

Brussels, 27/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - Ingo Mendez de Vigo MEP wants to make it clear to us that he is not a signatory of the proposal on responsibilities made to the European convention by Joachim Wuermeling (see yesterday's EUROPE page 4). As member of the presidium of the European Convention and as chair of the working group on subsidiarity, I am committed not to sign contributions to the Convention, he stresses, laying down a point of principle to which he holds dear.
