Javier Solana welcomes new president of Albania

Brussels, 27/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - Javier Solana, EU High Representative for CFSP, welcomed the new president of Albania, Alfred Moisiu, elected on Monday by the Albanian parliament (97 votes out of 140). "I welcome the constructive spirit reigning among the Albanian political parties, which has allowed a broad consensus to be reached around a single candidate.
