ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) energy

German group E.ON will acquire the German company FEG's subsidiary - FORTUM ENERGIE from its Finnish competitor FORTUM for EUR 545 million. The transaction will be made via its subsidiary E.ON ENERGIE and will result in a 100% buy-out of EWW (turnover EUR 236 million in 2001), the electricity and gas production factory in Wesertal, as well as the distribution activities of FORTUM in Germany.
