16/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the EP approved by 242 votes to 169 and 35 abstentions the resolution by Swedish Green member Inger Schörling on the European Commission's communication on a strategy for future policy in the field of chemical substances. According to Ms Schörling, after this vote (Ed.: which does not have binding value), the Commission should considerably strengthen its legislative proposals compared to its communication.
