IRU asks Alpine countries for measures to facilitate traffic in region

Brussels, 25/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - Following the accident in the St Gotthard Tunnel in Switzerland, the International Road Transport Union (IRU), calls on Austria, France and Italy to "take immediate measures" to abolish all unnecessary restrictions to the passage of road traffic over the Brenner Pass and the Frejus Tunnel.
