Towards further lifting of restrictions in UK

Brussels, 25/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Standing Veterinary Committee (SVC) took a stance on Wednesday in favour of a proposal by the European Commission to extend the area from where the United Kingdom is allowed to export fresh pigmeat to all counties in Great Britain that have had no outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) since the beginning of the epidemic or that have remained free from the disease for more than three months.
