15/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - German Social Democrat Garrelt Duin was highly critical of the General Affairs Council for its failure to take action in the South Korean dumping issue. The lack of progress on the proposal of aid to European shipyards (see EUROPE of 10 October, p.3) is making the situation of these yards still worse. European yards have lost 10% of their market shares, whereas South Korean market shares have reached 40% over recent years.
