15/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - At the invitation of European Commissioner Viviane Reding, leaders of the main sporting organisations in Europe and representatives of the Member States, and candidate countries will be meeting in Brussels on 17/18 October for the 10th European Sports Forum. The event will look at doping, the specific nature of sport, the social economy and sport for the disabled, and will be opened by Bert Anciaux, Sports Minister of Belgium's Flemish-speaking community, and the President of the International Olympic Committee, Jacques Rogge. Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, President of the Organising Committee for the 2004 Olympic Games, will give a presentation on the preparation of the Athens Games.
