ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) airlines

BA - BRITISH AIRWAYS merged two of its regional carriers into a single unit, which will lead to the loss of 200 jobs, adding to the 7,000 already announced by the group. Thus, BAR - BRITISH AIRWAYS REGIONAL will now be merged with BRITISH AIRWAYS CITIPRESS, which will give rise to Europe's second largest regional air carrier, new entity that will have an annual turnover of over £600 million, a fleet of 92 aircraft, serving 120 destinations and a workforce of 3,200.
