02/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - Following the statements by the Turkish Prime Minister accusing southern Cyprus of promoting money laundering and terrorism (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.6), a European diplomat cited by the Reuters Agency considers that "whatever problems there may have been in this field in the past, the Commission is pleased that Cyprus has undertaken to combat money laundering".
