The IT specialists SWISSCOM IT and AGI IT SERVICES AG have announced they are merging to create one of Switzerland's leading IT ventures. The new company, SWISSCOM IT SERVICES SA, will have a workforce of around 2,300 and is aiming at an annual turnover of some 900 million Swiss francs. SWISSCOM will hold a 71.1% stake in the new company, and AGI HOLDING AG 28.9%. The company will have a presence in 18 Swiss towns and cities by the start of 2002.
