Following the attacks on the United States, Poul Nielson postpones his humanitarian visit to Pakistan and Afghanistan for security reasons

Brussels, 12/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - Following the terrorist attacks on the United States on Tuesday, Poul Nielson, European Commissioner for development and humanitarian aid policy, decided to cancel the humanitarian mission that he was to carry out this week in Pakistan and Afghanistan (see EUROPE of 10/11 September, p.11 and 7 September, p.7).
