Constitutional affairs committee approves financing mechanism of European political parties

Brussels, 07/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - The EP Committee on Constitutional Affairs, chaired by Giorgio Napolitano (Democratici di Sinistra), adopted by 20 votes to 4 and 6 abstentions the report by Bavarian CSU member Ursula Schleicher on the draft regulation concerning the status and the financing of European political parties (see also EUROPE of 25 January, p.4).
