Following adoption of new rule by Commission, Canadian "Icewine" can be sold in EU

Brussels, 25/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission adopted new rules allowing the marketing of Canadian "Icewine", a dessert wine produced with frozen grapes at the end of the season. While welcoming this decision, the head of common agricultural policy, Franz Fischler said he was decided to "move forward" with his Canadian counterpart, Lyle Vanclief, in view of concluding a bilateral agreement over winemaking, which answers the "concerns expressed by both sides"....
