ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) chemicals

The Franco-German group AVENTIS is in talks with CVC CAPITAL PARTNERS in view of selling it its animal nutrition activity (turnover of EUR 577 million in 2000 with around 1,400 employees). The expected amount for the sale will probably total EUR 300 million.
