25/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - On a visit to Berlin, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said that the EU should be "much more active" in the Middle East. In an interview, he said that he would be very pleased if Chancellor Schroeder wanted "to play a role of intermediary".
