Combating inequalities in the labour market in Luxembourg, Italy, Finland and Portugal

Brussels, 30/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - In order to experiment with new ways of combating inequalities and discrimination in the field of employment, Commissioner Anna Diamantopoulou signed three decisions on 29 March approving the new EQUAL Community Initiative Programme (CIP) for the period 2001-2006: 1) in Luxembourg: the total budget is 8.8 million euro, 4.1 of which from the public sector, and 4.4 from the European Social Fund (ESF); 2) in Italy: total 788 million, 394.4 of which from...
