Clearance given to Shell's participation in Siemens Solar

Brussels, 30/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised Shell Erneuerbare Energien GmbH, an integrated holding company in the Royal Dutch Shell group, to take over joint control of Siemens Solar, a joint venture between Siemens AG and E.ONEnergie AG in the solar energy field. The concentration will not entail the creation of a dominant position on the world markets for solar cells and modules because of the strong competition on these markets. According to the...
