21/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - Under the high patronage of the President of the EP, Nicole Fontaine, French MEPs Michel Rocard (PES) and Alain Madelin (EPP-ED), as well as Belgian Socialist Senator Anne Marie Lizin organised a colloquium in Brussels on 20 March on "Europe, in favour of women's access to elementary rights", essentially devoted to the situation of women in the Muslim world. This initiative comes in the framework of the reactivation of the Euro-Mediterranean process of Barcelona....
