ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) insurance

ZURICH FINANCIAL SERVICES, which has just concluded a joint-venture with the BANK OF SCOTLAND (see EI of 19/20 March) has announced that its American subsidiary FARMERS INSURANCE has just concluded a strategic alliance with the BANK OF AMERICA to offer integrated bank-insurance services. The joint network will have 4,400 branches and 13,000 automatic cash machines, as well as FARMERS' 17,000 agents.
