Meeting in Brussels with some sixty research centres and think tanks

Brussels, 21/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - The International European Movement held initial discussions in Brussels on 21 March on Europe's future with over sixty research centres and think tanks from several EU Member States. These organisations agreed to be part of a contact group on the future of Europe, coordinated by the International European Movement.

Among the participants were TEPSA, Friends of Europe, the European Policy Centre, CEPS, the European University Council for the Jean Monnet Action, Eurochambres, the college of Europe of Brugge, the Bertelsmann Foundation, the Heindrich Boll Foundation,, the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Aufwartige Politik, the Walter Hallstein Foundation for European constitutional Law of Berlin, the European University Institute of Florence, the Istituto Affari Internazionali of Rome, the Study Centre in Federalism of Turin, Europartners of Paris, CIFE, the European Policy Centre of London, the Institute of European Affairs of Dublin, the Fundaction Salvador de Madriaga of Madrid, the Institut fur Wissenschaft von Menschen of Vienna, the Instituto de Estudos Estrategicos of Lisbon, the Pan-European Institute at the Turku School of Economics (Finland), the Centre for Comparative and European Law of Lausanne, the Jean Monnet Chair on the Community Law of Prague, the Forum 2000-European Movement of Sarajevo.
