13/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - The EU Troika (Swedish and Belgian Presidencies, High Representative for the Middle East Mr Moratinos, Commission) discussed the prospects of the Middle East Peace Process, on 9 March in Washington at the level of the regional directors. On the American side, Under Secretary of State Edward Walker took part. Mr Moratinos was in Israel and in Gaza on Monday and Tuesday with the Council President, Ms Lindh, and Commissioner Chris Patten.
