ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) glass

The German group SCHOTT sold its 74.9% stake in its subsidiary SCHOTT ZWIESEL AG to TABLE TOP ALLIANCE AG. Specialised in the manufacturing of glass and crystal bowls, SCHOTT ZWIESEL recorded in the financial year at the end of September 2000 a turnover of around DM 120 million and employs 913 people. The American group ONEIDA will retain its 25.1% stake.
