ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) retailing

Britain's KINGFISHER is on the verge of selling to the Dutch firm KRUIDVAT its chemists chain SUPERDRUG, present in the United Kingdom. According to the British weekly Sunday Business, the agreement would amount to £330 million. KINGFISHR is implementing a programme to split its activities in two, the first pooling its generalised chains (SUPERDRUG and WOOLWORTHS) and the other its DIY stores (B AND Q, CASTORAMA) and electrical household branch (DARTY, BUT).
