Brussels, 20/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition, by Cargill Inc., of Agribrands International, company under American law that manufactures and markets animal feed and other agricultural products. It considered that the operation between the two American companies would not affect competition on the EU market or the European Economic Area, the two companies' activities being largely complementary.
