Brussels, 15/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - This 14 February, the European Commission decided to refer Germany and Belgium before the Court of Justice of the European Communities for non-respect of the Directives concerning radiation protection. Moreover it decided to send a motivated opinion to nine Member States, which have not transposed into national law two core Directives on radiation protection: the Directive on basic standards and that on exposure for medical reasons.
