According to the Financial Times, the German group E.ON has handed the sale of its subsidiary VAW ALUMINIUM (annual turnover of some 3 bn euro) to the business bank GOLDMAN SACHS, with the aim of refocusing on its basic products (energy and specialty chemicals). Specialists value VAW at some 2.5 bn euro.
