Brussels, 15/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Justice/Home Affairs Troika announced by Maj-Inger Klingvall, Swedish Minister for Cooperation and Immigration, during the Stockholm informal Council (see EUROPE of 10 February, p.6), will go next 27 and 28 March to Sarajevo and Belgrade. This mission mainly consists of establishing a network of Member State representatives with the aim of helping Yugoslavia and Bosnia training personnel and setting up an effective system for border checks, as well as providing technical equipment. The Troika will mainly discuss with the authorities concerned the need to take measures to prevent the trafficking in human beings and illegal immigration. This specific Troika includes Swedish and Belgian Ministers and Commissioner Vitorino.
