Brussels, 15/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission announced an aid of EUR 100 million for projects in Kosovo. The aid is aimed: - at the continuation of housing reconstruction and technical assistance programmes for the resolutions of property issues (EUR 38 million); - to the treatment of water and waste (EUR 20 million); - to support for local authorities, the legal administration and the media (18 million); - medical care (14 million).
These projects will be implemented by the European Reconstruction Agency. In 2001, the Commission had a total of EUR 350 million in credit undertakings for Kosovo (of which 175 million come from the 2000 budget).
