EUR 350 million loan for urban renewal in Milan

Luxembourg, 21/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) has decided to grant a loan of EUR 350 million to the town of Milan (Italy) for investment in the transport sector, urban renewal, cultural heritage and social infrastructure sectors. Half of the financing is directly granted to the town (EUR 175 million), and the other half is channelled through Banco OPI SpA,, forming part of the San Paolo Imi banking group, the EIB states in a press release.
