10 million euro for scholarships

Brussels, 07/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - In the framework of the Meda Programme, the European Commission has approved a scholarship programme for a total of 10 million euro for Turkey. This "Jean Monnet" scholarship programme will allow young Turkish graduates, as well as employees in the private sector and public administration to undertake a year of post-graduate university studies in the EU, in several sectors relating to Turkey's accession strategy.
