07/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - During the EPP summit that preceded on Wednesday the European Council in Nice, the acting President of the EPP party, the Former Belgian Prime Minister Wilfried Martens indicated that he was preparing his succession in view of the accession of Jose Maria Aznar to the Presidency of the European People's Party, as of October 2001. The Spanish Prime Minister accepted to succeed him.
