Eurocoton loses case against Council in anti-dumping duty affair on unbleached cotton

Luxembourg, 04/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Second Chamber of the European Court of First Instance presided by Jörg Pirrung rejected the action initiated by the European Union's Committee of the Cotton and Allied Textile Industries (Eurocoton) and of several of its members against the Council. The Council should have imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on unbleached cotton from China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Pakistan and Turkey, but this was not done.
