04/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - Swedish Prime Minister Goeran Persson proposed, in a new political platform of his party, the Social-Democrat Party, that Sweden should renounce its policy of neutrality in times of war (but not its non-alignment in peace time). The Party's Congress in the Spring of 2001 will have to vote on the proposal, which, if adopted, will be submitted to the Riksdag, the Swedish Parliament.
