ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) electrical household appliances

Swedish ELECROLUX (consolidated sales of SEK 95 billion for the first three quarters of 2000) has acquired, for EUR 291 million, the Austrian electrical appliance company MAJOR APPLIANCES BUSINESS (EMAIL LID group; turnover AUS$ 919 million for the financial year ending March 2000 with 4,800 employed) which holds 60% of the Australian market.
