Commission estimates cost of Galileo (satellite navigation) at 3.25 billion euros

Brussels, 21/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - The development and deployment of the European satellite navigation system, Galileo, will cost 3.25 billion euros, estimates the Commission in a report it will be adopting on Wednesday. This report marks the end of the definition of the system (cost, structure, management, etc.). It will be presented to the Transport Council in December, when the Fifteen will be asked to launch the following phase, i.e. detailed development and validation of the system....
